This recall comes just a few weeks after Jaguar had to call back several hundred I-Pace models
The recall impacts E-Pace models built between November 11, 2020, and August 31, 2022. Dealers will replace the passenger airbag module with a new one. Owners who have previously paid to fix the issue out of warranty will be reimbursed. It seems like every other week a new airbag-related recall is announced and the latest has just been announced by Jaguar and impacts the E-Pace crossover. A total of 2,409 examples in the U.S. and its Federalized Territories are involved.
The carmaker says that a torn airbag may also allow hot gasses to escape, potentially burning occupants. Impacted E-Pace models were assembled for the 2021-2023 model years between November 11, 2020, and August 31, 2022. Dealers will be notified of the recall on May 2, 2024, while Jaguar will start mailing out letters to owners by June 14. The fault requires a simple fix.
