ITV chef James Martin was left red-faced as he received a telling-off on-air from guest culinary expert Dipna Anand.
However, things didn't go smoothly when James mispronounced the dish's name and was chided for being "too slow" with his stirring. The recipe called for a raw chicken to be meticulously cut into 28 pieces, including ribs and thighs. James struggled with the pronunciation of "palak" and overdid it with the butter, prompting Dipna to reprimand him.
Dipna conceded: "You were quite slow," before cautioning him about the butter: "Woah that's a lot of butter, that's enough now." Once he nearly got it right, she curtly acknowledged: "Yeah, okay. Yeah I'm going to be making that. Dad's gonna be chopping up a chicken into 28 plus pieces."
