The proposed trilateral meeting comes weeks after another, more high-level and formal meet that also included the US and Japan. In mid-August, US Presidentin Maryland for the Trilateral Leaders’ Summit at Camp David. But Romualdez was quick to downplay any perceptions – especially of China’s – should the meeting between Marcos, Kishida, and Harris push through.
