After nearly 200 years, the Jennings Brewery in Cockermouth, Cumbria, will be producing beer again. Local entrepreneurs, Mr. and Mrs. Canfield, acquired the brewery from Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC) following its closure in 2024. The new owners plan to invest in the historic site, create jobs, and continue the legacy of Jennings beer.

Bottled versions of Jennings beer will continue to be sold by Carlsberg until March, after which the rights to the brand will be transferred to Mr and Ms Canfield.
