The JEA board voted to approve Vickie Cavey as its interim CEO to replace Stowe.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — JEA will soon be looking for a new leader. “We felt like this was a good time to make some transition and make some changes," Stowe said in a sit-down interview withStowe said the decision is mutual and JEA wanted to bring in an outside consultant to look at operation costs.
“I think that's going to be very helpful, to be able to look at the operation and maintenance and the capital spending. And they asked to have a board advisor to work with the board. And they decided that that was the best way to proceed," Stowe said.
