Former Premier League striker Jermaine Defoe has signed for Plymouth Argyle on a short-term contract after leaving Saudi Arabian side Al-Riyadh in the summer. The 40-year-old, who has scored three goals in 13 appearances for Jamaica, could make his debut for the Pilgrims against Blackburn on Saturday.
