However, United fans have long wanted the Glazers gone completely and have been waiting for news of their departure for months after they entertained bids from Ratcliffe and Sheik Jassim. Ratcliffe's investment, along with his INEOS consortium, appears to be the preferred option, as it would allow the current owners to remain.
