New Leeds United forward Joel Piroe has thanks supporters for the warm welcome after making his home debut against Sheffield Wednesday at Elland Road. The frontman scored on his debut against Ipswich Town after making the reported £10million move from Championship rivals Swansea City.
The 24-year-old had a good opportunity to break the deadlock in the Yorkshire Derby, but squandered his first-half chance. Piroe operated in a slightly deeper role, partnering Georginio Rutter up front but neither were able to score. MikeWhorleyPhotography said: "Please push to play in your correct position Joel. You are the best 9 in the league not a 10."Piroe arrived at Leeds on the back of 44 goals in 92 Championship appearances for Swansea. The 24-year-old Netherlands Under-20 international signed a four-year deal at Elland Road last month.
