Keep an eye out for Wallace and Gromit's friend Wendolene, as she enjoys a day out in Preston to celebrate National Cheese Day on Saturday 3 June 🧀
The life-size replica of Wendolene Ramsbottom, the object of Wallace’s desires in A Close Shave, was created by the Knit and Purl Jam group who regularly meet at The Larder. Wendolene will be enjoying a day out in the city centre with a very special knitted cheeseboard, which will also feature a tasty selection of real cheese from Preston Market’s renowned cheese stall Pickles of Preston sitting alongside the knitted creations.
Wendolene will have a knitted cheese board with her featuring real cheese from Pickles alongside knitted creations. Pic The Knit and Purl Jam Wendolene and her companions will have gift bags containing such delights as Wensleydale and homemade chutney from The Larder.
See if you can spot Wendolene and her mysterious friend in Preston city centre, near Preston Market and the surrounding area, on Saturday 3 June between 11am and 2pm and help the Knit and Purl Jam raise money for future city projects.
