The Premier League table reads far more favourably for Manchester United supporters after Saturday's 1-0 win over Burnley. Three straight defeats threatened to plunge the club into an early-season crisis but Bruno Fernandes’ stunning solo strike eased the pressure levels around Old Trafford.
The presence of 20-year-olds Mejbri and Rasmus Hojlund gave United a willing pair of pressers to counter Burnley's ball-playing centre-backs and Mejbri completed the full match. Evans was named in the United starting XI for the first time in eight years against Burnley on Saturday evening, having secured a summer return following his release from Leicester. His first overall appearance back had come as a substitute in the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal.
