Ryan Kerr starred for Crusaders in Tuesday night's County Antrim Shield win over Linfield

Crusaders goalkeeper Jonny Tuffey has praised emerging young talent Ryan Kerr, admitting the 18-year-old's 'work ethic' will take him a long way in football.

"For me, working closely with Ryan alongside goalkeeping coach Davy McClelland, it is Ryan's application and his want to learn and work and improve. He is never done asking questions on the basics and little things he can improve on.

"I think there is big potential there because he is trying to establish himself. The world can be his oyster if he continues to develop and learn, and continues to have the work ethic he has." "And the way Ryan performed and conducted himself in the game was brilliant. He came and punched one in the first half which was good, and he made a couple of good saves. But it was more his conduct and presence within the game which pleased me."

Crusaders manager Caddell admits he had no hesitation giving Kerr his chance this season in the Shield, having watched the youngster's progress over the past three years.
