Jota is yet to start for Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League and could leave ahead of Friday's Turkish deadline.

Fenerbahce aren't giving up hope of signing Jota just yet as the winger could yet leave Al-Ittihad ahead of the Turkish transfer deadline.

The winger is yet to start in the Saudi Pro League since his £25m move from Celtic and though he's been used regularly off the bench by Nuno Espirito Santo, scoring his first goal against Al-Wehda, but there's a growing feeling the move hasn't worked out with Ittihad keen to move him on to clear space for more foreign players.

They remain keen to sign Mohamed Salah in January having failed to strike a deal with Liverpool before the Saudi summer deadline closed while they have also been unable to register new defender Luiz Felipe having maxed out their foreign players cap. Moving Jota on could be the solution to one of those problems. Now Khabarmasr.com are reporting a move to Fenerbahce could still come to pass as the Turkish deadline doesn't close until Thursday.

It's claimed the clubs remain in contact over a loan deal that would see Jota depart just two months after his moneyspinning move to the Middle East. Any deal for Jota could incidentally have a knock-on effect on Ryan Kent's future amid reports the former Rangers winger is growing unhappy in Turkey already. The Turkish window closes as midnight on Friday September 15 and it seems there could be serious movement before then.
