So, it is hard to forget someone like Nakeya Rich, who touches thousands every week.

Nakeya Rich touches the lives of thousands of people every week, proudly being the smile under the Golden Arches.DOTHAN, Ala. - Those who brighten our days are the most memorable.Her infectious spirit inspires and her joy knows no boundaries. Nakeya never meets a stranger, but always meets friends.This is what makes her different than the rest – turning our sluggish days into happy moments, but what happened to her years ago was something that no mother could prepare for.

“Whew, I had to fight hard for a year, I had to fight to keep myself because man, you can easily drown,” said Rich. She took two years off of work, but eventually figured out that the best way to honor her son was to keep doing what she did best. So she returned to sharing encouragement at McDonald’s.
