LAWRENCE, Kan. — If you’ve ever wondered, it takes about 30 people to carry a goal-post upright all the way up a hill. It’s a 1,000-foot march from the south end zone in David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium to the middle of Potter Lake. Goal posts weigh hundreds of pounds. But if enough people believe in the destination, they’ll bear the heavy weight of the journey. Advertisement Knocking down the yellow post took no time.
