EXCLUSIVE: Forbes called for leaders to be given 'the humility to listen' at a prayer breakfast in Edinburgh

The former leadership rivals were among the guests at the National Prayer Breakfast for Scotland at a five star hotel in Edinburgh last week.

The SNP leadership contest in March contest saw Forbes and Yousaf frequently clash in public debates over the future direction of the party. Leading a "prayer for resilience for our national leaders", Forbes offered thanks to "those who serve us in all positions of authority, including our First Minister".

Forbes was considered a frontrunner to become First Minister but she soon found herself at the centre of a political storm over her religious views.
