The Princess of Wales has spoken of the 'relief' after finishing her chemotherapy treatment, but her recovery is expected to be gradual as she focuses on her family.
The Princess of Wales has endured a challenging nine months, beginning with an abdominal surgery in January that led to an unexpected cancer diagnosis, which she disclosed in March.
"She will return to work slowly, on her own terms, and William will completely support her in this. Royal commentator Jennie Bond predicts: "I think it's almost certain we will see her on Remembrance Day, if she's well enough," adding that plans are in place for the princess to host her annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey, which promises to be a festive highlight, with many royals expected to show their support.
She continued: "With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved."
The strong bond within the family couldn't be more visible than Carole and Michael Middleton playing cards joyously with their family, which underscores just how much they've been there for Prince William, Kate, and their children. "And while Carole has certainly become a second mother to William who is said to prepare him his favourite snack of cheese on toast and keep a healthy stock of the sea salt chocolates he loves at home it is Michael's relationship with him that is, in many ways, even more grounding."
