The Princess of Wales has been present each year at William's Earthshot Prize events but decided to stay at home in the UK this time as the prince flew out to the US.
Prince William is currently on his first official solo visit to New York but while his devoted wife Kate Middleton is often on his arm during royal trips, this time she chose to stay at home for a very understandable reason.
This is all an attempt from William and Kate to 'give their children a normal life' to the best of their ability whilst also preparing them for their future royal duties which would be a hard task for any parent, the Mirror reports. It has been reported that Kate will also not be accompanying her husband on his trip to Singapore at the beginning of November for his third annual Eartshot Prize Awards ceremony which he founded in 2020.
Many had expected Kate to make an appearance with William for the third year in a row at the 2023 ceremony but, according to The Telegraph, she is not expected to attend, though there has been no official announcement yet.
