The Prime Minister laid a tribute at the scene on Hart Street in Southport following a stabbing at a Taylor Swift dance class
Sir Keir Starmer said “it’s awful to contemplate what happened' as he paid tribute to the victims of yesterday's mass stabbing in Southport on a visit to the scene. Three children have now died following the incident at a Taylor Swift dance class on Hart Street in Southport on Monday, July 29. Merseyside Police confirmed that those who have died following the stabbing were Alice Aguiar, aged nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven .
He added: “It is sometimes really important in life just to come and say a simple thank you to all of you, so let me do that, on behalf of myself, on behalf of the government, on behalf of the country – thank you.” The Prime Minister also said the attack in Southport “touches a nerve” with the whole country. He said: “It’s awful to contemplate what happened. To hear for myself the experiences of the first responders, what they had to deal with, it’s really hard to take in for anybody.
