SAN JOSÉ (AP) — El icónico guardameta de Costa Rica Keylor Navas anunció el jueves su retiro definitivo de la selección de este país tras 16 años de defender su puerta en más de 100 partidos internacionales y tres Copas del Mundo.

Arribó luego al Paris Saint Germain de Francia, del cual también se despidió hace unos días. Se esperaba que Navas participara con Costa Rica en la próxima Copa América, cuya convocatoria definitiva se puede entregar a más tardar el próximo 15 de junio. El anuncio hecho por el arquero no dejó claro si aparecerá todavía en ese certamen bajo el mando del técnico Gustavo Alfaro o si el retiro comienza ya.
