Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna will be Ruben Amorim's first opponent as Manchester United manager when the two teams meet after the international break
Ipswich Town manager and former Manchester United assistant Kieran McKenna has admitted he still has a close bond with the Reds despite missing out on the top job in the summer.
Eventually, after scouring the managerial market, Sir Jim Ratcliffe decided it best to stick with Ten Hag. There will be a wait until he officially starts his new job though with the current Sporting boss arriving on the first Monday of the international break.
"It’s certainly going to add more external intrigue to that game," he explained when previewing the clash with the Reds later this month. "For us, it was a massive game anyway.
