Kieran Tierney offered alternative Celtic transfer options with bigger sharks likely to circle for £30m 'snip'
The Scotland star is very much second choice under Mikel Arteta and could leave the Emirates before the summer transfer window closes. A loan move back to boyhood club Celtic has been floated, and while Brendan Rodgers said last month that "you never know" what could happen, he insisted this week that he doesn't deal in "what ifs."
The Gunners are thought to prefer a permanent transfer in order to raise funds for any more deals they might want to get done this month. Newcastle are long-term admirers but FFP restrictions and the arrival of Tino Livramento looks to have put Tierney on the backburner.
Ferguson told Go Radio: "Managers have go different opinions, Don't they? They like different types of players. "But for me, I think he's a top player. I've said it before, and I know there's a lot of talk about Celtic, but don't be surprised if your Man Us and Manchester Citys and teams like that come in.
