King Charles and Queen Camilla are yet to confirm whether they will be attending the wedding of the Duke of Westminster and his bride-to-be Olivia Henson, who are set to tie the knot on June 4.
King Charles and Queen Camilla are reportedly yet to RSVP to what's being dubbed the "wedding of the year", with the event just three weeks away.
Lady Grosvenor wed Edward van Custem, a godson of His Majesty, at Chester Cathedral - the same venue for this year's upcoming wedding. At that time, Camilla, then known as Parker Bowles, was informed she could not sit with Prince Charles and would need to sit several rows back and arrive separately, reports the Mirror.
Renowned Royal writer Sarah Bradford disclosed that a significant row erupted, with the Queen telling an infuriated Charles that the existing situation was unacceptable. A palace source at the time illuminated the issue adding: "Her Majesty is a stickler for protocol. It would be inappropriate for Mrs Parker Bowles to sit beside Prince Charles since she has no official standing."
Amidst the unfolding drama, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been left out of the guest list for next months nuptials, despite Hugh reportedly being godfather to their son Prince Archie. It is suggested that the duke feels their presence, despite receiving an erroneous save-the-date invite, might enhance tensions amongst the Royal Family.
