The Kuwaiti government has announced a temporary suspension on issuing visas to Filipinos, according to a report on "Unang Balita" on Thursday.
The announcement was made by the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry, who said that there was a violation committed by the Philippine government on the bilateral agreement between the two countries.Last February, the DMW implemented a deployment ban on first time domestic workers. The ban was imposed after the death of OFW Jullebee Ranara and other cases of maltreatment of other OFWs in Kuwait.
The DMW said they have not received an official communication from the Kuwaiti government in relation to the suspension of the issuance of visas to Filipinos.
