Officials broke ground Monday on LA Valley College’s latest construction effort in an overall $900 million renovation and building program at the campus in Valley Glen.

The development follows on the heels of Academic Complex 1, which remains under construction on Burbank Boulevard. The first floor of Academic Building 2 will feature a technology lab for students in the college’s manufacturing program. In addition to classroom facilities, the building will include faculty offices.
