The Wee Mobile Food Bank in Motherwell, who help provide 'one off' emergency food deliveries to those in need within the surrounding area, say they are 'on the ropes'.

A Lanarkshire based food bank has made a plea for urgent financial help revealing it is just three weeks from closure.

And the people who run the food bank were hoping to stay open until Christmas, however, they have said they are 'on the ropes'.READ MORE: Police race to Ibrox Stadium following 'disturbance' after Rangers game "It funds us to buy the fresh food we go through so much of, around £800 to £1,000 monthly. When we ran out previously we kept it afloat ourselves but not this time, if it comes to a natural end then so be it, we can help other food banks with our stock, we won’t be sad we’ll be happy we’ve hopefully done some good.
