Hospital bosses are urging people to only attend the A&E if their condition is 'life or limb-threatening'
A hospital trust in Lancashire has warned patients they will have to wait for more than 15 hours to be seen at accident and emergency after a sharp increase in demand.
People are being advised to instead use the 111 service or seek support from a community pharmacist or GP surgery. "It is crowded, as you might expect, and the wait time is over 15 hours - we are sorry about that. Please be patient and remember to be kind.
