Lancashire Police are recruiting call handlers to perform a vital role in its response to the public and paying up to £37,000 for successful applicants.
Covering the whole of the county, PCROs deal with all emergency 999 and non-emergency 101 calls. On a typical day, the Constabulary receives around 800 emergency calls and over 2,200 non-emergency calls and each call is dealt with on its own merits according to the needs of the caller who may be vulnerable or distressed..
