Lancashire County Council is investing £13.2 million to build an 'innovation hub' near the new National Cyber Force (NCF) headquarters in Samlesbury. The aim is to attract businesses and research and development in the cyber sector and related fields, creating high-quality jobs and boosting the local economy.

Cabinet members have agreed to add £7.2m in funding to the £6m already earmarked from within Lancashire’s devolution deal in order to create the 27,000 square foot development. “The space will…become the focal point of activity for the National Cyber Force, university, private business public sector bodies who want to collaborate,” County Cllr Riggott added.
