His Instagram account serves as a repository of stellar gardening advice, including his latest "lasagne bulb planting" technique. Simon instructs in the video captioned "lasagne bulb planting, how to do it," laying bare his stratagem for stacking spring-time joy in a single pot. In his instructional video, Simon recommends starting with a vessel equipped with generous drainage holes, reports the Mirror.
Start by adding a 10cm layer of gritty, free-draining compost at the bottom of the pot, followed by a layer of the largest bulbs, in this case, hyacinths. Cover these with compost before adding a layer of the next-largest bulbs, which are daffodils in this instance.
