The city council says the price changes could lead to a reduction in traffic and air pollution.
Prices for parking at most council-run car parks and on-street parking areas in Leeds are set to rise in 2024.
The majority of tariffs will increase by 20p from 8 January after Leeds City Council carried out a review of current fees. The local authority said while the move could make driving into the city "less attractive" it would contribute towards improve air quality.This includes Beckett Street, near St James' Hospital, and Maude Street in the city centre,There will also be no changes to evening and Sunday charges at any car park run by the council, while free parking for blue badge holders will remain.
Earlier this year the council abandoned plans to bring in 40p-an-hour parking charges at parks and green spaces across the city following a backlash.
