Chaos and violence consumed the streets in Leeds after the children were removed
Four children were taken into care by police following a tip off they were leaving the UK - which led to the Leeds riots, a court has heard.
Justice Trotter Jackson, sitting at Leeds Family Court today, told the family listening to proceedings with the help of an interpreter, their four children could now go and live with their uncle. The Judge pointed out she had not thought it "appropriate" to have the police in court, adding: "The family have always behaved during previous hearings."
As social media erupted people took to the streets, a police car overturned and a double decker bus set on fire. Leeds Family Court, has been taking part in a pilot scheme to allow reporting of their hearings and, the Judge gave The Mirror permission to attend.
