Leeds United will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on QPR at Elland Road on Wednesday night

Leeds United will be happy for the quick turnaround this week following their hefty loss to Southampton on Saturday. The Whites were comfortably second best on the south coast, but the visit of QPR on Wednesday gives them the opportunity to bounce back to winning ways immediately.

Given the way Farke has managed Sam Bryam’s game time this season so far, it’s fair to question whether the full-back will be named in the starting line-up this time around. Byram endured a wretched afternoon at St Mary’s and while Junior Firpo will be out until after the international break, Farke does have the option to switch things up.

Ampadu, who admittedly had his worst game in a Leeds shirt so far on Saturday, looks to have the position tied down for the time being but if Farke did look to give him a rest, Ilia Gruev is available and champing at the bit, no doubt, to try and make an impression for his new side. Gruev joined Leeds on the penultimate day of the transfer window and is still waiting to make his first start.

However, with Jaidon Anthony pressing for a starting spot, we could see a change on Wednesday with the Bournemouth loanee brought into the fold. Who he replaces could well depend on the conditions of Summerville and James, with neither man catching the eye on the south coast.
