Leeds United supporters won't have to pay over the odds if a trip to Wembley is needed
If the recent clamour for Oasis tickets reminded us of anything, it's that major events are reaching bank account-crippling levels of expense. Dynamic pricing, ticket re-sale sites and the usual issue with touts mean hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds are being spent on everything from huge football games to music concerts and more.
That figure represents great value compared to the figure to stand on the pitch at Wembley to watch Oasis play. Leeds United will be hoping they can avoid another trip to Wembley next May for the Championship play-off final, having lost last season's clash to Southampton. Automatic promotion is the aim, but should they reach the play-off showpiece again, the good news is the ticket prices start at half the price of the boxing this weekend.
At £75.60, tickets for the all-British bout are the priciest of any sporting showdown at England’s premier venue, with last season’s Champions League final next at £59. The NFL London clash between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New England Patriots starts at £58, followed by two much cheaper footballing finals in the FA Cup at £45 and the Championship play-off final at £37.
