The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance (LNAA) resumed service on February 6, 2025, after being temporarily grounded due to a controlled drugs licence issue. The grounding, initiated by the East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) for patient safety concerns, prohibited the air ambulance from storing or supplying controlled drugs. Both organizations collaborated to resolve the issue and flights resumed at 2 pm.
Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance is back in the air after being grounded over an "administrative oversight". All air ambulances were stood down last Friday due to a paperwork issues around a controlled drugs licence.
On Thursday it confirmed flights have now been given the go-ahead once more. Air ambulances were being dispatched again from 2pm. "Both organisations will continue to work very closely together for the benefit of our communities, and to resolve the issues around the controlled drugs licence."
