. Unite and Unison’s ambulance workers - including paramedics, call-handlers, technicians and other staff - are on strike as the bitter row with the government remains deadlocked.
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: "Rather than act to protect the NHS and negotiate an end to the dispute, the government has disgracefully chosen to demonise ambulance workers."The powerful moment a terminal cancer patient came out to support the striking nurses who 'kept her alive' The latest round of strikes are sweeping across Greater Manchester, with pickets at a number of ambulance stations across the region. The industrial action by ambulance staff follows nursing strikes last week that saw thousands walk out around the country.
North West Ambulance Service staff also took part in strikes earlier this month on January 11. But the pay and staffing dispute goes on - in the North West, further walkouts are set to take place on February 6, February 22, March 6 and March 20.
