Johnson says the point of the immigration bill isn't to keep out people working in the NHS but to make sure that of the new immigration system:"We control it, we understand it and we control it according to the needs of the NHS and the economy." Sir Keir pivots to asking if the PM think it's right care workers coming from abroad should have to pay a surcharge of up to thousands of pounds to use the NHS themselves?
The PM says he hopes the Labour leader will"work together" with the government to take the system forward, saying that is what the country wants to see.Sir Keir repeats that the question was when routine testing would start? Johnson says Sir Keir is"perfectly clear" about the situation regarding testing and accuses him of trying to"feign ignorance".
He adds Care England's chief executive said there were cases of people with COVID-19 symptoms who were discharged into care homes, and asks why government advice until 15 April was the negative tests weren't required, and how that's protective?
