A large cordon is in place this afternoon
A large police scene is in place in Collyhurst this afternoon after a serious incident. Officers remain at the scene currently on Thornton Street North and Kelly Street, near to Rochdale Road.
An air ambulance landed nearby to the junction with Kelly Street earlier this afternoon. A large cordon remains in place covering a grassed area, with paramedics also at the scene. The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed.
