Trains out of Lime Street are affected
Trains out of Lime Street are cancelled this evening following a police incident at Ropers Bridge in Whiston. Police were called to the area on Dragon Lane at around 9pm after reports of someone being on the railway line.
Northern Rail tweeted: "Due to trespassers on the railway between Liverpool Lime Street and Lea Green all lines are blocked. Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes."
