Liverpool John Lennon Airport hosted the fundraising effort
A charity plane pull organised by Liverpool John Lennon Airport has raised thousands of pounds for the airport’s charity partner Alder Hey Children’s Charity. Leading leisure airline Jet2.com provided one of its Liverpool based Boeing 737-800 aircraft to be used by various teams from within the airport community and across the region, who each had 60 seconds to see who could pull the 40 tonne aircraft the furthest along the taxiway at the airport.
com for providing one of their aircraft and to Ravenair for hosting us all and not forgetting all the teams who took part and helped us to raise over £15,000 for the Alder Hey Children’s Charity.” Heather Jones, Liverpool Airport station manager for Jet2.com said: “We are delighted to have played a part in this terrific event by providing an aircraft to be used for the plane pull and to have helped raise vital funds for Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
