The Wild Loaf, a bakery renowned for its sourdough bread, sandwiches, and pastries, has been named the best in Merseyside at the National Bakery Awards. This victory now puts them in the running to be crowned the best bakery in the entire country.
A Liverpool bakery has recently been named best in Merseyside at the National Bakery Awards . It's now in the running to be crowned best in the country. The Wild Loaf , and all other County Winners, are invited to the National Bakery Awards ceremony on September 25 at 30 Euston Square, London, where they will be hoping to become Regional Winners, while also having the chance to become the National Bakery of the Year 2024.
However, business partners Jessica Doyle and Emily Sandeman have run the bakery, which focuses on sourdough bread, since 2017. The bakery appeared on BBC2's The Hairy Bikers Go West back in February, with the pair giving a mini tutorial to Si King and the late Dave Myers and sharing some of their ingredients and techniques. Co-owner Emily previously told the ECHO : 'Since opening we have gone from strength to strength. Our philosophy is good service, good produce and love.
