The legendary Mathew Street festival returns this bank holiday weekend in a new form
Liverpool Celebrates Mathew Street returns this week with a new format which organisers say will highlight the spirit of the much-loved event. The original Mathew Street Festival was an annual staple running from 1993 until its final year in 2013. Taking place from Friday, August 23 until Monday, August 26, the event's new home is on Liverpool's iconic Pier Head.
All ages can attend the Monday event but children must be accompanied by an adult. Ticket prices vary depending on the day. A four-day weekend admission ticket is £44. A ticket to the Friday event is £11, Saturday's event is £39.60, and Sunday's is £28.60. There are '4 for 3' offers available for each day. The all-ages Monday event costs £28.
