LJMU has two campuses in the city centre
Many freshers will be moving to Liverpool for the first time, while others will be continuing their studies in the city. It’s been a challenging few years for students, with changes to A-Level grade boundaries, the pandemic and strike action.
Originally named Liverpool Polytechnic, it was renamed in 1992 after Sir John Moores. He was a local businessman who had donated to the university and was the founder of the Littlewoods retail and football pools company.It has two campuses - the City Campus based around Byrom Street, and the Mount Pleasant Campus close to Liverpool's two cathedrals. Here are all the term dates new and returning students need to know.
