To mark the Lunar New Year, there will be city-wide festivities and events with the majority of the action located within the Chinatown area. Chinatown becomes a festival of sound and confetti with a packed programme of free events for everyone to enjoy for Chinese New Year.
As we bid farewell to the year of the dragon, people can expect to reconnect and even find love in the Lunar New Year beginning on Wednesday, January 29. This year's Dragon and Lion parade starts at 11:15am and finishes at approximately 3:30pm. The Unicorn parade starts at 12:15pm and finishes at approximately 4:00pm. Both parades will move through Nelson Street, Duke Street, Berry Street and Bold Street in Liverpool city centre .
