Robert Maudsley is reportedly kept in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day
A serial killer from Liverpool will spend this Christmas locked in a cell alone, as he has done for the past 50 years. Dubbed Britain's most dangerous serial killer , Robert Maudsley was born in Liverpool in 1953 and has been in jail since he was 21 after he murdered child molester John Farrell in 1974. He gained the nickname Hannibal the Cannibal after claims he dug a spoon into the brain of one of his victims, an allegation he always denied.
Prison documents reveal what will be on his menu, reports the Express . It includes: Maudsley will be spending December 25 alone in his underground glass cell . The room features bulletproof windows, a table and chair made from compressed cardboard, a toilet and sink bolted to the floor and a door with a small slot at the bottom for food delivery. In 2021, his appeal to spend Christmas with other inmates was denied.
