Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate has jokingly hit back at RB Leipzig's failure to acknowledge his return to the club during Wednesday's Champions League meeting. The Reds' 1-0 win in Germany marked the Frenchman's first return to the Bundesliga outfit since his £36million move to Anfield in May 2021. Konate, though, appeared to be 'snubbed' by Leipzig chiefs in the aftermath of Wednesday's game at the Red Bull Arena.
The official RB Leipzig Instagram account shared the moment the Hungary international was presented with the commemorative gift. A short caption read: 'Nice seeing you home again. 'Wishing you all the best for the future, Dominik Szoboszlai.
