The Reds dropped points at home to rivals Manchester United last time out but will still take some comfort in being six points clear of second-placed Arsenal with a game in hand. The League Cup will be Arne Slot's first opportunity to win a trophy at Anfield amid a hugely successful first season on Merseyside so far.
