Noelaine Stephen claims her her furniture and clothes have been destroyed by the sheer volume of fungus infesting the Cumbernauld property she moved into four months ago.
Noelaine Stephen says her furniture and clothes have been destroyed by the sheer volume of fungus in the four months since she moved into the property in Coatbridge. The 53-year-old says she fears for her health after finding mould on her body.
"The smell immediately hit you and it was so cold. When I opened the cupboard under my sink you could see the bare outside wall." "You can see puddles of water leading from the kitchen to the walkway. There were coins sitting in my living room and they turned green with mould." "Before I moved in I was nine stone now I'm six stone, I had long red hair, I had started to date again but now I feel as though my independence has been taken away bit by bit. I don't know who I am anymore, I don't recognise myself."
"I'm dreading to think what my furniture will be like when I go home. I'd prefer to stay here in hospital than go home. I'm scared for this Winter, I've got a blanket up on my window in the bedroom to keep warm. I'm still living out my suitcase because my clothes are being ruined."
