Unbeaten Livingston are third in the Championship as they prepare to welcome Airdrie
Livingston boss David Martindale admits being under-par during a golf day, but says his side are driving well in the Championship.
Martindale joked that there was some cheating going on, and he’s only been on the fairway for three months, but it was a good day, and now all focus goes onto Saturday’s Lanarkshire opponents.“I think there was a bit of cheating going on, so I’d rather not comment on whether anyone got a hole in one or anything!
Martindale said: “I think this year we just focus on ourselves, I’ve not really looked too much at the opponent. “I think Rhys has to take a lot of credit. He has done a fantastic job at Airdrie, he’s going through a difficult period just now, but all managers do. Martindale said: “We’re scoring goals, keeping clean sheets and there’s a lot to like from a Livingston point of view, from a relatively new squad.“I’m, fairly happy with the way the season has gone, albeit I still think we could be a wee bit higher up in the points than what we are just now.“We’re scoring goals from different players, and it definitely helps when the boys are chipping in from all over the park, so you’re not relying on one player.
