A zebra is still on the loose near North Bend, and on day three of the search, people are starting to report zebra sightings.

King County Animal Control confirmed there was a report of a zebra sighting about a day into the search in the Snoqualmie Trail area near SE 145th street, but they were not able to get an officer on scene quick enough to capture the zebra. Now, they plan to have patrols for several days.Patrick Murphy snapped video of his encounter with the missing stallion on his morning run in the same area on Tuesday, and reported it.
"Due to the terrain being very forested, kind of a sloped area with no fences, it’s really hard to capture such a fast animal," Murphy added. "They were waiting for it go to toward a more enclosed area where they could corner it or maybe capture it."Longtime residents in the small town known to tourists as the backdrop of a 90s TV drama are ecstatic that this unlikely event has put their home back on the map.
