Loujain al Hathloul, who campaigned for Saudi women to get the right to drive, has been detained since May last year.

He said:"We are trying to understand the charges. We don't know yet if the other women will be included, she did not mention that. We don't know if my parents are going to be allowed to attend the session."

"The interrogator came in, showed her the form of the royal pardon and they asked her to sign it... she asked to call my parents and they did not allow her to do that. When Ms al Hathloul called to tell her family about the date, her brother said she did not express emotion but the family have some concerns about the setup of the court hearing.The Saudi public prosecutor's office said earlier this month it had completed its investigations into the detainees and was preparing their trials.

The kingdom will either accept or rebuff those recommendations and will then explain its reasons for doing so, after which other countries and organisations will have an opportunity to reply.The stories of seven women who fled Saudi Arabia, their family or simply dared to push the boundaries of the kingdom
